Absolutely. Preserving the integrity (decentralisation and security) of the network is more important than ensuring everyone can have a utxo. Because even then it's a vast improvement to what we've had previously. Not everyone even wants a utxo. It's only a very small subset of society. And the more you try and simplify it for the others, the more you end up introducing 3rd parties anyway.

You know the saying, "you can't have your cake and eat it too"? This sounds silly but it's based on a physical reality. I also believe that the integrity of the bitcoin network is based on fundamental physical realities that prevent everyone from having a utxo on the base layer.

Some people don't like to accept that there are injustices and inequalities in the world, but this is a reality of life. I feel it's the same with something as fundamental as bitcoin. Not because I think only some people should have it, but for the reasons above.
