Years ago I played in a blues/r&b outfit with a bassist who had a fretted L2000 (trans red, maple fretboard). He could never tell me what all those switches did, and I don't think he knew.
Eventually I was asked to take over bass in that outfit, but all I had was was a cheapie P/J. I scoped out G&L but wound up with a weird HS Sterling. The L2000s are still a mystery to me, and I've always meant to take a better look at them!
