Julian #Assange being free isn't actually a good thing ***specifically because he's expected to plead guilty to the Espionage Act charge(s) as a part of his plea deal***
This means that actually the US government has increased its power to intimidate and prosecute global publishers, if they disseminate gov secrets in the public interest.
People uncritically celebrating Assange's release is the Biden administration having its cake and eating it, too: more dystopian power, but great PR, also.
