I did this and don't regret it. The feed turns into a global but without all the spam! It also allowed me to meet quite a lot of very nice people.
The only downside is that sometimes I cant keep up with it and end up missing some notes from my top plebs, but i go to their profiles every once in a while to check for that 😉
I also spend like 5 minutes every day unfollowing inactives and such. Got it down from 4k to 2.6k already. In a couple of months of this it will be perfect.
