I loved reading this post from a time just a few years before I moved to the UK. Back then we were very much surrounded by Belgian Techno and Gabba, Frankfurt Trance and the harder Techno sound from Berlin. Only every so often a Breakbeat tune would make it over to our local club, and it was mind-blowing.
Eventually we got stuff like early Prodigy, Kniteforce Records-style Happy Hardcore and tracks from US/Canada like Hawtin or Underground Resistance.
Coming to Brighton in 95 was 🤯
