changing your name while trans in the UK: you write it on a piece of paper with a witness, which takes 5 minutes (+ getting a new passport if that's your thing)
changing name in DE while trans with the new improved process: register in writing, 3 months mandatory wait, have a personal appointment with official register (in the place you were born?), the new name has to follow gender conventions, the number(!) of names must stay exactly the same.
