I would be driving and see something neat, reach for the camera and turn it on and be ready to fire the shutter by the time the camera was pointing the right way, then I'd kind of spam the shutter as possible. At the end of the trip I was amazed at how many great shots I was able to get. I wouldn't worry about focusing or any of that just half press the button then press it. A more expensive Canon is OK but not as good.
