You can argue for better store of value, but the whole problem is that BTC is a terrible means for moving value with any frequency. Expensive and lacks privacy. There are better options for this that don't give up sovereignty or introduce complexity.
XMR (or LTC using MWEB) completely hides amounts and addresses and is extremely cheap.
BCH using CashFusion to coinjoin is another good choice for cheap fees and decent obfuscation.
Nano has no privacy but is instant and feeless if that is all someone cares about.
Atomic swaps and DEXes will make this seamless
BTC can still be used as a long term SoV for those who speculate that to continue.
