I never inquired for a grant or set up a donation campaign in my life.
I don’t think it is morally right to ask for handouts or donations without having everything in place to make sure your bringing somewhat of a ROI.
There are ROI could be impact based or monetary so it could push the opensource ecosystem further.
And it should be measurable.
