It is perhaps my view of the world is too pessimistic
Too ignorant of the joys of life, and the ways of life
Too stuck in the belief that life will get worse on all levels, Single personal, immediate family-ial, local community level, country level, and international level. The belief that it all will get worse in unprecedented worseness. Because what did we possibly have before that could be worse than a demographic crisis combined with the irreversible environment change we inflict upon ourselves?
It's easy to forget that we always have suffered, intensely and immensely as a species. It's the suffering that drives us from one stage of civilization to the next. Slowly.
The bubonic plagues
Infinite rapes of the infinite mongol empires
Being born a Chinese peasant in any year pre 2000
The falls of any empire
being born and dying a slave (family)
And yet we continue despite near infinite suffering
Like a bacteria 🧫 🦠, humanity will take it's hits from antibiotics, anti septics, sudden increases and decreases in environmental capacity for sustaining life, and grow back to fill in the void left by the deaceased. And we can predict and cushion those completely inevitable blows.
Only a complete catastrophic and near instantaneous single event can wipe us out. Our intelligence makes us the greatest hole filling parasite in the world, we manipulate every square kilometer of arable land we can get our hands on. The extent of how intensely and strongly the surface differs due to humanity is magnitudes beyond any other animal. Compete Global Saturation of plastics turning most animals at least slightly more feminine, almost destroying the ozone by accident, every single plot of farmed land and planned foresthood visible from an airplane window. Smoke plumes of factories, formerly unfiltered, changing the atmosphere gas composition drastically, causing, at the very least, worsening air pollution caused lung issues and larger plant life fruit growth. We have optimized plant growth with crop rotation, fertilizing, poisons, industrialized animals to grow in metal boxes. Sustainable and unsustainable logging. The rainbow color agents we have produced and used in the Vietnam war to genocide entire counties worth of plant life. Continental railroads. Near infinite information transfer to any location on earth (but not in earth) for, essentially free, essentially instantly, perfect self locating, a strong surplus of food even in crisis years, trade routes touching every single country to another. New ways to boil water more effectively. New ways to store said boiled water spinning turbine energy.
It will get so much worse, and the west will fall. And the east. It's happened before it'll happen again. And the acute plagues, which we inflict completely on ourselves, will run out of hosts after killing enough, and become endemic. until we find either a cure, a treatment, or we just cope.
With technology increases so fast, we lose jobs fast and quick, faster than we can learn a new trade. And the youth, they are all gone, hooked on phones and adhd family guy subway surfer tiktoks, resentful that is. But the time, it is changing. Out with the old , in with the new. The educational system must reform completely to come to terms with the new changing world. It is no longer sufficient to learn 5 years and be content in a job, set for life. We must now study studying and teach teaching as primary courses. A college or uni degree is likely to become secondary. I think, that even listing changing jobs frequently on the CV will become a desirable trait in a hire.
We cannot go back, we cannot go back too a pre Facebook world, to a pre tiktok world, to a pre industrial revolution world, pre steam engine. Because we have the technology and we can't lose it anymore due to infinite ability to share information. A killed Twitter will get it's sequel, because we can and we desire to. We are used to it and we need it. Even the big intense dictator ships have their own in country social media. They need it to compete with other countries information exchange capabilities.
And the new days, with new ways, offer new never before seen problems, problems that have all solutions, though many eggs will break.
To finish off this long post, i just want to say one thing. I want to kill Elon Musk, for i think the death of him is very beneficial to humanity, and my emotional state , if i never have to hear about him again
