Does there need to be a shipping NIP?
Solving for this:
I buy something on the yet to be released nostr market and I want it shipped but do not want to give my address to the seller.
A nip to verify shipping hubs would allow a buyer to select an approved “npubhub” to ship purchased physical goods to.
The seller would ship to the buyer selected “npubhub” location. Each npubhub location could verify the receipt and dispersion of packages according to the npub associated with each package.
The buyer would use their nsec (in a secure way) to retrieve the package from the npubhub by picking it up or through a privately contracted courier service for delivery to the final destination.
npubhub verification would require:
Ability to receive mail,
Ability to distribute mail (ensure nsec=npub)
npubhubs, once verified, could offer their services to users much like relays, and broadcast the amount and type of mail traffic their hub is willing to accept.
This would, in theory, also allow one to confidently send and receive anonymous ⚡️zap notes⚡️through a physical mail service.
