Comprehensive gun control means starting a low intensity civil war and the police will be on the other side. I'm not even necessarily against that but we have to recognize those are the stakes. It is not "just simple, we just ban the guns." The worst people in society have extremely powerful weapons, and also the cops will refuse to enforce any new laws with sufficient teeth.
