Jackson Hole Symposium is underway, started yesterday and goes through tomorrow. The most important day for markets however is today. Powell is set to speak at 10:05am EST, and it’s assumed that he will take a relatively hawkish/neutral stance on markets.
If you’re day trading at home, be very cautious around this time and like 30 - 60 minutes after. Markets have gotten smoked so far this month, and risk feels to the upside of anything.
