The subtext here is that the #Tory membership is so batshit crazy - and they are of course - that they cannot be trusted to select their own leader. The answer surely is not to be so anti-democratic, but to get better members by being a better party. Or is the only route to that to change the way a leader is selected? It's a very damning endightment if so.
