I never applaud for company employees at corporate events I am attending. It's part of maintaining my objectivity as an analyst/press representative.
But I always applaud customers and guests! They're giving their time to the audience and deserve thanks! I especially appreciate it when they're not slick presenters and are just up there doing their thing!
