I see OpenTofu has responded to HashiCorp's claims that the project infringed its copyright on the "removed" block feature.
https://opentofu.org/blog/our-response-to-hashicorps-cease-and-desist/The drop to Matt Asay may have backfired here, as a whole lot more people now know OpenTofu exists. They're now the underdogs fighting a much larger bully. The history of open source means that open source folks like to be on the side of the underdog. Why would they contribute to Terraform given this other choice?
