And I for one, appreciate your concern. This is only 5 months of data, and big events like twitter breaking are great opportunities, just like inflation or bank failures are a great time for orange pilling.
Stats lie all the time, its just about how they are being presented, what is being corrected for, and in what context the data is being gathered in. I recycled several accounts before settling here, and I even thought about rerolling again (I don't think I will); that behavior could be skewing the data. That purple line is from the early days of nostr, before trusted accounts were even a thing, but a lot of us were still here using the platform; the next month you see a huge spike in trusted accounts, as in all the people that were already using nostr regularly who just hadn't become trusted yet.
