This morning I've posted my podcast shorts across all social media platforms. Here's what I found and why it feels so good to come to Nostr:
Twitter: excessively political, the #1 trend was caused by people complaining that Trump will be reinstated on Facebook;
Instagram: all my college buddies are trying to appear successful, lots of girls put make up on just to take a couple of pictures with some fancy filter. Kind of depressing when you know the truth about their lives;
Facebook: even more political than Twitter, with people whining, complaining, and virtue signalling about supporting causes that are way beyond their control without actually donating money or going there to help;
Tik Tok: OMG, this is what hell looks to me. A bunch of lost people trying to blend in by using the latest filters. Really sad and hollow, makes me feel a bit gloomy about our future as a civilization.
Nostr: people building, posting genuine thoughts and concerns, sending virtual hugs 🫂
I only spend a few minutes on social media every day while my videos upload, but I can't say that I like what I'm seeing. My hope is that the Bitcoin content I'm posting will inspire some people to become more free. Personally, I would have gone crazy long time ago if it wasn't for Bitcoin.
