quoting note150c…hk27It's a common criticism. I saw some dude on Twitter posting yesterday that he wouldn't sell his carrots for bitcoin in an apocalyptic scenario.
While you can access & pay with your bank funds, the need for bitcoin is harder to see. Everyday people are starting to realize the credit card scam & that they don't own the currency in their account.
Bitcoin enables permissionless payments with little leakage in Tx costs. This will increasingly become more important. Once vendors decide they need bitcoin as a SoV, acceptance will also increase.
Organic adoption takes time & education but it's a one way gate. Once you see bitcoin, you can't unsee it. It will eventually reach a typing point & it makes giddy with anticipation.
In the meantime we also need to teach Bitcoiners to spend their sats for value. This also takes time & education, particularly with the friction/confusion around taxation. P2P sat acquisition is important for establishing a circular economy.
Sometimes we just need to be patient.
Adoption will come. Slowly, then suddenly.
Appreciate the reply. 🧡
