A lot of casters online and even siraya tech themselves seem split on if its needed. Some casters and a siraya tech page say you need it to shed oxygen, but I emailed them and they said its only to help it cure faster and only needed to stop o2 absorption if you dont plan to immediately make the mold. One jeweler I trust even lists curing as not needed for it. I would recommend the ethanol over IPA tho
