You know, I wonder why people are dismissive of open source. At the very beginning, sure, a proprietary closed source thing might be better. But open source has cumulative effect and will eventually surpass the closed source counterpart. Take a look at iOS versus Android, for example. Back in 2010, iOS was the extremely superior choice. These days, that is not the case as they are either falling behind or just barely keeping up.
