Okay genuine question- in describing a two party scenario where I want to keep gender ambiguous (because it’s irrelevant) how do I clearly disambiguate between the third person neutral pronoun “their” and the third person possessive “their”?
I want to say “the children’s entertainer was dismissive of the autistic child who just wanted to check their watch”…
