As is, they make money selling data and eyeballs on ads. So their view of if we are foregoing that, then pay us is “valid.” Note I’m not saying it’s not icky, but given how focused on squeezing profits out they have been even after privacy/data disasters, I don’t see them completely changing their model in EU just because they made a law and asked them to.",
