The builder company confirmed my new pantry room would be started today (I did ask how long it would take, no answer, I guessed 2 days). They had previously booked it for the week before my kitchen gets installed, but I said I'd need more time to get it painted in time.
I delivered the cats to my parents on Sunday so that the builders had clear access.
At 2pm the on-site builder informed me the first stage was completed and now I had to wait for the plasterer, and then the builder would be back to do the architraves, etc.
No date for that though. Absolute silence from the builder company.
So now I have no idea what days I need to make sure I'm working from home, when I can confirm various medical appointments, when the cats can come back, when I'll be able to paint, etc.
I fully expect the builder will complete the work on their original timeline, which means I'll be painting the walls at night to achieve the required deadline.
Grrrr. And fuck trying to plan.
