Yes, this is a great idea for moving forward and simplifying the clusterfuck that NIP-90 is (thank you PABLOF7z (nprofile…478g), luv ya 😂).
Imo, all input parameters should be "param", and then the DVM should specify elsewhere (as you suggest) which one are required/optional and their meaning. For example with Vertex (nprofile…y38p) DVMs, some parameters are required only in certain conditions (e.g. if sort=personalizedPagerank, the you have to provide a source).
The "i" tag shouldn't be used otherwise relays will end up with millions of useless events indexed. Instead, it should be a conscious decision to index all that.
