Here's how my brain works:

I was wanting to light some incense at my desk (it helps me concentrate at work).

So I get up, and walk to get a lighter.

On the way I see the dog laying on the floor of the hallway.

I realize I haven't moved her bed into the office so I go to the bedroom and bring her bed from there to the office.

The dog immediately lays on the bed happily.

I sit down at the desk satisfied with having fulfilled my goal.

Five minutes later: "Why isn't the incense lit?"
