Periodic reminder that in the United States, most 401(k) plans have horrendous investment options available, even with a SDBA.
A smart W2 employee will occassionally "quit" their job to be able to rollover funds to an IRA where access to more investment choices are given. A good employer will work with the employee and hire them back once complete and start a 401(k) anew. A bad employer will not, which is the red flag you should be looking for when deciding to properly jump ship.
Started my new job today... quit my old one because they wouldn't allow Bitcoin ETF access. Staying humble and stacking sats is one thing, but buying 4 BTC worth of ETF action with your retirement funds is a different animal. 😀
