Reflecting on the difficulties of being an artist today, I wrote this:
The hardest challenge for an artist
is not to compete with the world, nor to seek in others' eyes the reflection
of what is unfinished, blurred, uncertain.
It is in the silent nights that the true battle is fought, against the weight of inner shadows, against the void that opens wide
when inspiration slips away, like a whisper escaping through the fingers.
The artist walks a thin line, between the desire to create and the fear of failure, between the love for art and the dissatisfaction that eats away from within.
Each brushstroke, each note, each word
becomes a judgment, a reflection of that secret struggle that burns and wears down the heart.
But it is in this quiet fight, in this dance between light and shadow, that the true essence of art is found:
not in perfect triumph,
not in the futile chase for perfection,
but in embracing every mistake,
every uncertainty as part of the journey.
For an artist is not one who never falls, but one who rises every time, and in each new creation finds a fragment of themselves,
an answer to their own restlessness.
The true victory is in accepting imperfection, knowing that every piece, even the most tormented, is a step forward,
towards a tomorrow where art and soul finally find a fragile, beautiful balance.
