Yes, but we and a lot of life won’t be. It’s not the planetary body we’re concerned with, it’s us (life on Earth) and our future that we’re concerned about…

Yes, but only in the broadest sense of “life on Earth”. A lot of plants and animals that you can see with your eyes (but many more you probably aren’t even aware of) won’t be fine. So you’re really stretching with that argument.
