Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. He took our sin and died on the cross to make peace between us and a holy God. Our God fiercely desires peace, not punishment. He has made every effort to secure peace with us, but if we refuse his mercy, if we reject his messiah, there is nothing left for us but the wrath of the Almighty. It is a fearful thing to be in the hands of an angry God.
