Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil openly confessed his faith, enduring severe beatings. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. Both were drowned in the Danube River.
