curious... nothing jumps out at me, so my only questions would be: <li><p>does adding a second <code>-v</code> give you any additional helpful info?</p></li><li><p>do you have any issues manually deleting files from that backup directory?</p></li><li><p>no filesystem errors in dmesg? (yeah I'm grasping at straws...)</p></li><li><p>is the exclude file behaving as you expect? (another weird question, I know, but 99% of the confusion I've had with rsync in the past has been due to 1. symlinks and 2. trying to include/exclude things - and this seems like an otherwise simple command)</p></li><li><p>your rsync command isn't aliased or symlinked to something that might be preventing deletes?</p></li>
