Yesterday I was "gently " mocked by a fellow gardener for my stance on no herbicides or pesticides, referring to it as a religion. The comment stung, not personally, but because politicians and media are portraying people who want to be gentle on nature as some sort of cult, and they are winning the argument. However, my immediate plot neighbour has also given up chemicals, on the basis of my posts of flora and fauna on my plot. That's a win in my books.
