The evil hiding in the advice pointed at younger people who are strapped for cash — don’t get lattes, don’t eat avocado toast — is that those are habits the people issuing the rhetoric simply don’t have. They don’t say, don’t drink wine, don’t own a car, etc cetera. Which keeps it all an ad hominem argument rather than a real discussion.
