HRT is incredible, but I think one of the tragedies of the medicalization of transition is that it casts a messy, wandering, beautiful, and often circular path of self-actualization into a line with signposts and mile markers.
There is no going back, this isn’t a highway that started at a place and ends somewhere else.
You are the beautiful sound of a bell still reverberating. You cannot go back, you can only grow and spread and shape around things in your path. But forever you are rung.
