#WritersCoffeeClub 9: Do you invent places in your work? Are any based on real locations?
Franz-Karl's World is not too dissimilar from ours on a continental scale: Panama and the Great Rift Valley are straits and the Italian peninsula is not a boot. Scotland and England are separate islands. Mountain peaks and volcanoes and river meanders don't match.
Mistella is loosely Milan, Karnburg is loosely Vienna (Carnuntum rather than Vindobona.) Traventi is nearly Liechtenstein, but not geologically.
