One thing I don't understand about #Trump is that he spent the past 10+ years essentially promising to do what he has done, but people are shocked that he is doing it (whilst trying to sign trade deals & giving him invitations to visit castles).
He promised he would dismantle the State, he said he would dismantle multilateral defence and trade agreements, he promised he would deregulate industry, he said he admired #Putin.
Why didn't Europe invest more in defence in the meantime?
