Tonight's blog post is a pretty picture, and the story behind it. The next in my Historic Painting series: "Star Road and White Sun" by Ernest Blumenschein, painted in 1920. This is an exemplar of the Taos School of art, which Blumenschein co-founded after what turned out to be a lucky wagon accident on a desert road in 1898. There's even a photo of the accident in the article!
