AFAIK this is the last iPhone with right to repair.
Likewise her laptop is a mid 2012 MBP. Which was the last model to allow upgrades to RAM, SSD, replacement batteries, screen repairs etc.
It just EOL’d with software support in the last year, so, I will probably inherit it as a linux laptop and trade out my 2010 MBP that I am running
on right now once it starts getting too buggy for her to tolerate.
In a coming age we will have zero Apple
devices in our home simply because we refuse to buy anything that cant be upgraded or repaired. And we preach that liberally to our friends and family.
It's my belief that if an electronic device needs replacing within four years—for any reason—it was defective from the beginning.
