Thieves aren’t entitled to privacy related to their theft. If they sell a stolen item, the downstream buyer is not legally entitled to retain it if the theft is discovered. Sweeney is trying to find a “weird” for Apple, I guess. What a loser. Also, Google offers identical tech now (licensed to third parties) and Microsoft also has a theft tracking feature.
