People that think they can’t give up bread or pasta or desserts have just never actually tried it. After three years of being hardcore keto (real keto, not honey or artificial sweeteners, or eating fruit, or some “keto” bread) after a couple weeks your body doesn’t crave those things anymore, and after a few months, your body finds those thing unappetizing. Carbs and sugar are an addiction and were historically a substitute for real food during hard times. They were used to feed armies to sustain them long enough to win wars, and then the soldiers could no longer subsist on the same diet for an extended period of time.
Changing your entire “mealtime routine” or sugar “treats” throughout the day is hard and requires true discipline, but the reward is unbelievable. You will never feel better, you will never have more energy, and you will never be in better shape. Additionally, it’s a psychological battle with yourself that you prove to yourself every day that you can win. The value in that alone is worth embarking on a path to a proper diet. The amount better my life has become is truly incalculable. I’d encourage others to do the same. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. #foodstr
