If we white people do the work to understand what people in our ancestral lineages did to foster white supremacy - and the ways those actions materially benefited us - and act to dismantle white supremacy in the present, in whatever way we can, that makes a huge difference. E.g., my paternal grandfather became a doctor in the early 1900s and joined the AMA. The AMA took action to bar Black people from medical education & practice. 1/
