I care a great deal about trans and gender non-conforming kids and young people. It's impossible to look at them and not see myself. What bothers me is that the majority of abused and homeless trans kids are BIPOC, the faces the media lingers on and elevate are mostly white trans children with parents and a home.
Typically when I point this out it sparks rage from the All Lives Matter white supremacists that have always been part of Trans community. White Transgeminist ate much like their Cis white Feminist sisters who for over a century used Black and other women of color before kicking us to the curb.
Black, Brown and other children of color are not valued the same as white children, and that goes double for those that are trans.
