There’s a middle way. Christianity has caused atrocities just as atheism or communism or Islam or any other. You may enjoy looking into non-dualism, Advaita, Gnosticism, there are many philosophies and beliefs out there that are just as powerful, liberating, or interesting. Ken Wilber, Ramana Maharsi, Gary Webber, and my personal favorite and one I always recommend: Robert Anton Wilson.
The problem most people seem to have is taking a one-size fits all approach to belief. They turn into fundamentalists, zealots, the mind goes rigid, unwilling to change. Convictions make convicts.
It’s noticeable in Bitcoin too—they were right about this one thing, and now they are convinced they are right about a great many others.
I was raised by Pentecostals, hardcore-types, went through my Ayn Rand and atheism days. You should read The Illuminatus Trilogy by RAW and check out his other work.
