Nothing like “real” text to catch possible font improvements . Most obvious would be pushing the lowercase L to the right. The lowercase i is a more complex issue. Probably the only solution would be to make it look larger maybe by adding a base (that would make it a serif in a sans-serif font which would be weird but maybe use the space better).
