Really enjoyed this!!
One concern I have is that I'm not optimistic about Chang's "iterate ideas" until we make progress. At the very least we can get seriously stuck in conceptual "local minima" for an extremely long time. But I suspect that it's possible to simply get lost.
I know conceptual/philosophical discussion is annoying to most (?) scientists, but I view it as a possible mechanism to inject energy in the system to hopefully help in the overall scheme of "continue to iterate". Sort of potentially opening other paths.
