That’s a very tough question, “the point” of having kids
Sometimes with the best intentions and hard work at creating the parent-child relationship, you don’t get it. And it’s not always anyone’s fault. (See my parents for an example)
You can always love and support kids, however, no matter the closeness of the relationship. And god bless my parents
Parents nurture new humans, one way or another. I think that’s the only thing we all have in common
