I've been on a post apocalyptic sci-fi kick. One constant is the technological macguffin from the old world that drives the plot. At the same time I've been experiencing lag and instability on my Pixel 4 (coincident with the launch of the 9, go figure) and that got me thinking how unlikely it would be for any old tech to work. It's not that we can't build super durable devices it's just that those don't make as much profit. #scifi #ScienceFiction #books
