Finally got around to buying a Bitcoin node today. I should’ve done this months ago, but there’s no time like the present.
I was feeling limited not having my own node. Specifically, I wanted to add a lnurl to my nostr profile so I didn’t have to upload Muun invoices every day. Or use custodial Wallet of Satoshi. Super strange reason for most for buying a node, but it pushed me over the edge lol. I also want to connect to cool apps like BTCpay and the mempool. Also personally verifying the bitcoin blockchain seems like an important component of my journey.
I feel I’ve gone as deep as I can in bitcoin without a node. I’m excited to experience the full breadth of what Bitcoin has to offer.
