This is beautiful in it's simplicity. I never understood how the ring brought the balancing, but it was the manual routing of 1/2 of the channel size.
Which means... The Node operator needs to understand the arcane (but probably accurate) terminology in the tools available on say, a Raspiblitz, to do such a maneuver and the ongoing maintenance.
